  • Regent’s Park: about 10 minutes and 0.4 miles.
  • Oxford Circus: about 11 minutes and 0.4 miles.

All three routes were described as mostly flat. These are estimates from the mapped station point to 1–2 Cavendish Mews North, not promises from a particular platform or exit. Station corridors, traffic lights, crowds and your pace can add time.

Great Portland Street: the shortest of the three checked walks

Transport for London lists Great Portland Street on the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines. The station address is Euston Road, W1W 5PP.

This is the straightforward default when one of those lines fits your journey. The checked walk was about seven minutes, but allow longer if you are unfamiliar with the area or arrive during a busy period. The final destination is a mews address rather than a large street-front building, so keep the full postcode available for the last part of the walk.

Regent’s Park: useful for the Bakerloo line

TfL lists Regent’s Park on the Bakerloo line at Marylebone Road, NW1 5HA. The checked walk to Tempo was about ten minutes.

Choose Regent’s Park when it gives you a direct Bakerloo journey and Oxford Circus would add extra station complexity. TfL lists lifts among the station facilities, but a lift listing does not by itself confirm a fully step-free journey from train to street. Oxford Circus: longer walk, more line options

TfL lists Oxford Circus on the Bakerloo, Central and Victoria lines. Its station address is Oxford Street, W1B 3AG. The checked walk to Tempo was about eleven minutes.

This can be the better whole-journey choice when the Central or Victoria line takes you there directly. Saving three or four minutes on the street is not helpful if it requires an inconvenient interchange. Oxford Circus can also be busy, so add time for the route through the station and for the exit you use.

Getting to Tempo from Goodge Street station

TfL lists Goodge Street on the Northern line, at 75 Tottenham Court Road. It is another option to consider when the Northern line fits your journey.

Getting to Tempo from King’s Cross St Pancras

If you arrive through King’s Cross or St Pancras, compare an onward Tube journey with walking to Tempo in Fitzrovia. King’s Cross St Pancras Underground station serves the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines, which also serve Great Portland Street.
